FPS Drops in CS2 Despite High-End Hardware - Need Help
Hey everyone

I'm experiencing frustrating FPS drops in CS2 that don't align with my hardware capabilities, and I'm hoping someone might have solutions. Here's my situation:

**My Specs:**
- **Laptop:** AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS + RTX 4070 Mobile + 32 RAM
- **Settings:** 1280x960 (4:3 stretched), Low/Competitive settings
-**Expected Performance:** Stable 250-300 FPS (which I get initially)
- **Actual Performance:** Drops to 120-180 FPS after some playtime

**Key Observations:**
1. **No Thermal Throttling:**
- CPU usage: 25-50% (temps ~70°C)
- GPU usage: 20-30% (temps ~60°C)
-**Not a hardware limitation** – heavier games (e.g., Battlefield 1 at 1440p Ultra stable 144 fps, and in others games too).

2. **CS2-Specific Issues:**
- FPS drops occur **over time**, not immediately, like in 5 minutes.
- Alt-tabbing or opening Steam Overlay seems to worsen the problem.
I'm sure it's something with game and optimization, not my specs, I tested with Afterburn a lot of time

yep bad im getting same issues
try adding -vulkan to the launch arguments to force the game to use the Vulkan renderer on Windows.

Try disabling HAGS (Hardware-Accelerated GPU Scheduling) in windows settings, also disable Reflex in CS2 settings and also Low Latency mode to OFF in the Nvidia control panel. Then restart your computer.

See if that helps and report back.
