counter strike workshop maps not downloading and being unplayable, and steam support is useless

It lets me subscribe to workshop maps but it doesnt actually download them. Because of that I cant play workshop maps and I think is also the cause of a horrible error that bricks my game for a hour effectively making premier impossible to play. Has this happened to anyone or does anyone know what can be causing this issue steam support is ran by Chinese robots so getting a answer out of them is impossible
