Skins not showing in CSGO Legacy after May 8, 2025 update

After the May 8, 2025 update, I noticed that none of my skins are showing up in CSGO Legacy. They’re still in my inventory and I can equip them, but they don’t appear in-game at all – all weapons show up with default skins.

Also, every time I restart the game, it forgets all the skins I had equipped, so I have to set them again (which still doesn’t make them appear in-game).

A friend of mine has exactly the same issue, so I’m guessing we’re not the only ones.
Does anyone know if this is a bug or an intentional change? Any fixes or workarounds?

Same for me. Exactly what you described, nothing more, nothing less.
- reinstalling doesn't work
- changing client version in steam.inf doesn't work

It seems like a bug, but Valve has no interest in fixing it, unless we manage to figure something out , it’s the end of skins in CSGO

They probably disabled it because new skins might not be included in the CSGO legacy build - just a guess

CS:GO Legacy has been discontinued since January 1, 2024 and Valve said things will eventually stop working. It's probably not intentional but the legacy version is no longer supported and therefore very unlikely to get fixed.

New skins from CS2 are just displayed as empty and I played along with them in inventory, CS:GO and CS2 together and was fine.
