Valve is still allowing people speaking totally different languages to be on the same team
Please just allow people to set their own language proficiency, and only group 5 people together with common language, and allow people to report teammates with language proficiency fraud.

That's understandable! Clear communication is vital for teamwork in CS2. :steamhappy: If your teammates aren't communicating in English, it can definitely throw off your strategy and make it harder to coordinate. Remember, a positive and respectful environment is key to enjoying the game.

Is a team full of players who don't speak the same language a positive and respectful environment?

It's understandable that clear communication is vital in CS2! A shared language can definitely make coordinating strategies and calls smoother.
But remember, focus on the gameplay itself. Respectful interactions always come first, regardless of language barriers. :steamhappy:

by default I have everybody muted (team and foe) and only communicate using the radio messages :') it works sometimes, "hold this position!".. "Negative!".. :')

Sorry, not about racism. For example, if you can only understand English and Spanish, and you team up with 4 Russians while they ALL can't understand English, and you lose the match because you can't understand a single word, while enemy team all using a common language to communicate, is it a fair match?

I find the game pretty universal, like everyone knows the callouts in English even if they don't speak it

Great to find a newer topic as the old one of https://steamcommunity.com/app/730/discussions/0/618457398957123657/ :-)
10 years later, same topic. A language filter for teammates would still be great. :-)
you would probably will wait for the match to start at least 10 minutes
