CS2 on VMware Workstation
Hello everyone, i setup up a virtual machine workstation and i have win 10 pro on it, i'm asking is it fine to run cs2 on this setup.
Does this give me vac error or vac ban!

I play in a VM. You're fine. It's just looking for process injection.

there was a case where a person got banned for playing in a VM (KVM with GPU passthrough) but that person got unbanned later

This has been my setup for quite some time. I don't think this ban was related to the libvirt setup.

perhaps you just were on a 2 weeks break from playing CS or something, right when it was possible to get banned for that

I dodged 2 false ban waves like that, simply because I didn't have time to play because of university :D

That's pretty fair. It would be very un-valvelike to intentionally ban VMs anyways.

For me i just setup the vmware and installed steam, time to run cs2, i did not mess with the settings or add any unusual code or software, so my guess that it is ok
