Counter-Strike 2

View Stats:
low fps, low cpu and gpu usage
my specs
it-11400f
rtx 5070
32gb ddr4 3200mhz

I know that my CPU is bottlenecking the card, but surely i should have more fps than the screen. setting all low on 1440p, if i rise the settings fps counter do not change at all. Before change i had around the same values on my 3060 12gb.

Did you reinstall windows after you swap GPU ?
Also CS games will always use your CPU for more fps .
People reporting that new Nvidia 572 drivers are bad af in general .

No, i used the ddu. In every game exclude the cs2, everything is fine.

Trust me , its highly recommended to reinstall windows .
I had headache in the past with tons of BSODs .
But , if I was you , I would wait for better / stable Nvidia driver , and then reinstall windows .

Don't just reinstall windows because others tell you 2, should be a last resort or a sure thing.
I never reinstalled windows 11 since official release and had several parts swapped without issues.

Usually it requires a clean install of drivers and most other problems are setting based after the swap. If not there are several ways/tools to get information from your hardware or software what spit out errors and problems which you can then google for a solution.

I have the 5080 and 0 issues with latest drivers. The 5070 should also be fine.

verify the game integrity might resolve the issue. Furthermore look into your grafic settings whether the fps are limited etc.

you are cpu bottlenecked, ofc changing gpu and resolution is not changing your fps. look up some cpu optimizations maybe

there's something wrong with drivers or windows to support the correct drivers... You should have at least 400+ FPS. I would reinstall the pro version of the latest windows and install the drivers on it
I have an AMD 7800x3D and an Nvidia 3070Ti and I have a smooth 500+ fps

It will never go 100% CPU usage in CS2,
For your case its CPU bottleneck, you can set the Shadow settting to low and Sun Only you will get 10-20fps more, close all the apps in background

Am afraid thats only what you can do right now besides a cpu upgrade

I completely agree, but even with bottleneck. I should have at least 200-250fps

I mean, i had the system going on for couple of years, so it wasn't a issue for me.
