what a dumb argument.. armor should just protect against some damage, it shouldn't give any anti-flinch bs for fully scoped in awpers

Wow, thank you so much for your input, Hamless Hog. Seriously, "Armor." What a powerful contribution. It's honestly impressive how you managed to pack that much energy into one word. Really gets the conversation flowing.

And yes, I’m aware that armor currently prevents flinch. That’s exactly why I brought it up. I’m suggesting it’s a dumb mechanic that probably shouldn’t exist. The idea that someone can be full scoped with an AWP, take an AK round to the chest, and still hold perfectly steady like they’re in spectator mode is just... amazing. Totally balanced and fun to fight against. So engaging.

Appreciate the reminder though. Keep up the great work. You're a real asset to the conversation.

Well keep in mind its a video game, not real life or a simulator.

Totally, and hey thanks for chiming in. You're right, that's how the mechanic works. I just personally think maybe it could be looked at again. Like yeah, armor negates aim punch, but it still feels a bit off that a scoped-in awper can eat a full bullet and stay locked in like nothing happened.

Hamless Hog spends his entire day and 100% of his freetime on the CS2 forums, look around some and you'll see. No point in trying to reason with him, with that being said AWPing was heavily nerfed in CS2, if you brought this up in CS:GO and while AWP had 10 bullets I'd agree.

counter-strike is a weird game. it has a lot of weird and unfair mechanics, but fixing at least some of them removes the whole point of the game, or the fixed part.

I am personally getting sick and frustrated from the game even after years of playing it. it seems like nonsense.

why do we have these dumb spray patterns?
why do we have quickstops (counter-strafes) instant accuracy as a mechanic?
why does well thrown grenade do 50 damage? just 50?
why does molotov explode in the air when it didn't hit the ground in a given time?
why can't i don't have more ammo for usp? can i have 100 bullets like in cs 1.6?
why do we have this stupid loadout system?
AWP isn't the unbalanced laser death ray it was in GO anymore. It already has a lot of nerfs. Adding flinch to scoped weapons would mean buffing the rest.
I think it makes sense for game balance considering the awp costs so much more than m4/ak
