🌱 MAKE PREMIER GREAT AGAIN
We urgently need a distinction in CS2 Premier between new accounts that have cheated their way into the game by quickly acquiring badges that reduce their value.

I unfortunately witnessed someone cheating their way into first place in a competition (reported for cheating) and then failing to climb the box on Catwalk Dust II.

Such obnoxious moments, which are completely irrelevant to the game, can be reduced to a minimum by opening up Premier games to players' badge acquisition.

For example, players who can prove five or ten years of membership can participate together in Premier competitions, and these are only available to those player classes.

This would not only increase quality but also satisfaction. Furthermore, the coveted badges would gain even more significant value.

Valve Anti-Cheat (VAC) is a cornerstone of the CS2 experience
VAC banned accounts cannot send the game they've been VAC banned in as a gift to other Steam accounts in the future. Similarly, if you gift a VAC-enabled game to an account and the giftee's account is VAC banned you will not be able to gift that game in the future.

There's an extensive catalog here, including FAQs. Sometimes you need a bit of technical expertise, but it's worth it.

Valve taking such strong measures to protect the integrity of CS2
The VAC system reliably detects cheats using their cheat signatures. Any third-party modifications to a game designed to give one player an advantage over another is classified as a cheat or hack and will trigger a VAC ban. This includes modifications to a game's core executable files and dynamic link libraries.

To ensure your account does not get VAC banned, use only trusted machines to play on VAC-Secured servers. If you are not sure whether or not the machine you are using to connect to Steam may have cheats installed, do not play on VAC-Secured servers.

to keep CS2 a pristine gaming experience
If you know of a new cheat, especially private cheats (ones that aren't on a public website), and can provide the links or the actual binaries, please send an email with pertinent information to the following email address:

All emails are read and reviewed by the VAC development team.

Let's continue to build a positive and competitive environment together.
If you find that you are banned from a large number of community servers you have likely been banned by a third-party ban tool, such as Steambans or Punkbuster. These third-party tools are used by a large number of servers sharing a common database of banned IDs. These tools are unrelated to Steam and cannot assist you in resolving these issues.

A positive and competitive environment is exactly what makes CS2 so enjoyable.
Use caution when installing any game modifications like scripts or custom skins, and only download custom content from trusted sources. Hackers may maliciously disguise their cheats to cause others to get banned.

we should always strive for fair play
Users are not VAC banned based on reports alone. Other factors are taken into account before VAC bans are issued.

VAC continuously monitors gameplay, identifying and addressing any attempts at cheating with utmost precision.
If a user connects to a VAC-Secured server from a computer with identifiable cheats installed, the VAC system will ban the user from playing that game on VAC-Secured servers in the future.
