hackt/scammd CS skins bye bye. :(
i got hackt/scammd on the Mars 27 -2025.
if i sends a link to a tournament and say that one of my friends are in a team and you should vote for him... DONT DO IT!!

on Mars 27 - 2025
my "friend" talk to me when i was in a game. so yea ill do it after the game.
he even use my irl nickname that few ppl knows.
then i use my phone to go in to the site and clickt the team.- (BIG misstake)
after that i dident think any more of that.

in order what happend mars 28- 2025
(sadly i was really tired and not in top of my head.)

-first all of my friends got blocked. 17.40 (in swe time)
-then a "Valve Employee" contacted me on steam chat. 17.41
-the chat looks real (but its not!)
-Employee fix and fakes a ticket.
-i start to looking in to this if it is legit. but only got to steam community chats. dident see any thing like this.
-i start to panic some were on the line....
-tells me to protect my stuff i need to move stuff to a "safe" acc.... so i pic my other acc that i have.
-doing a transfer to "my" whit help of this Employee...
-in panic it looks okey... did not look enuff sadly.
and then the transfer is done.
-Employee says it will take 5-7 days to be transfer from steam pool. and then all my stuff will be in my other acc.

after i calm down. sill tired i realize that this is not right...
looking up the information on steam support this time.
-Steam dos not contact you in the steam chat-

So i lost all of my CS2 skinns and som killingfloor 2 stuff. to a RU scammer/hacker.
Reported this to Steam. will see if it helps. At least it's a win if the scammer doesn't get the items. :csgoskull:

Sorry but for not having 2 factor authentication, you deserve this lol. Somehow they found my password in Asia but couldn't do anything because 2FA

Dont be lazy and enable 2fa

Yes the site which they share with you ask you to login into steam with steam url showing on that popup but its not the actual url in that popup its just a image of steam url (because its not a popup its a frame on that site only)
Dont login into this OK!!!

Sorry to hear about your experience, MetalDRed. That’s a tough situation, but it’s good that you’re sharing it to warn others. It’s important to always be cautious of suspicious links and never trust anyone claiming to be a Valve employee, especially if they contact you out of nowhere.

Steam will hopefully take action on your report, but in the meantime, be sure to enable two-factor authentication (2FA) and set up a strong password for all your accounts to prevent this from happening again.

Stay safe, and good luck getting your items back!
a lot of people who installed cheats find themselves scammed out of their inventory i wonder why that is

I am sorry that happened to you.
Unfortunately there is no way to recover your items.

Don't forget to secure your account:
First deauthorize all devices.
Then revoke the API key if it exists, and change your Steam account password.

Also read this to not let it happen again:

Remember,

Valve wont reverse these trades because they dont want to break gambling sites.

Rigging matches, rigging skins, promoting third party gambling.

How many laws is valve breaking I wonder? Gabe reminds me of that show "the fall of the house of usher".

Dude prolly sold his soul to the devil.
