CS2 Freezing Issues During Premier Matches
Hello everyone,

I'm experiencing a significant issue with CS2 freezing during gameplay. I was in the middle of a Premier match, and it froze twice, which has been a recurring problem for me. Unfortunately, this consistent freezing has led me to quit playing for an extended period because the game became unplayable.

I recently decided to queue for a Premier game after months away from matchmaking, but the freezing occurred again. I noticed that this problem does not happen when I play on community servers, which is quite frustrating. During these freeze events, I can't even close the game through Task Manager; I just get a black screen, and the only solution is to turn off my PC each time.

Has anyone else experienced similar issues or have any suggestions on how to resolve this? I would greatly appreciate any help!

Thank you!

After looking around, I’ve found some potential fixes and will be trying them out to see if they help:

Verify Game Files – Checking for corrupted files via Steam.

Update Graphics Drivers – Making sure my GPU drivers are up to date.

Disable Background Apps – Closing overlays (Discord, MSI Afterburner, Razer Synapse, etc.).

Lower In-Game Settings – Reducing graphics settings and disabling NVIDIA Reflex.

Check Windows & Power Settings – Updating Windows and setting power plan to "High Performance."

Disable Fullscreen Optimizations – Tweaking compatibility settings for CS2.

Run CS2 as Admin – Running the game with administrator privileges.

Try Different Launch Options – Adding -novid -high -dx11 to see if it helps.

Reinstall CS2 – If none of these work, I might go for a full reinstall.
