EDIT: I am explicitly in favor of anti-cheat at the kernel level and am in favor of permanent bans - if these people can't show their friends a Steam account, they are suspicious in real life and that's a good thing
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TWniNU7mXJA
found this video and it's a person with an english word as a name so can't accurately tell their nationality
https://csstats.gg/leaderboards
csstats leaderboard seems to have a Russian (judging solely by cyrillic characters in the name) on place 13 which was not the 1st one last time I did simple arithmetics
so you're wrong making it about nazism here I guess, cheating problem has nothing to do with a specific nation
2. kernel anti-cheats don't work, they don't work in PUBG — BattlEye, faceit anticheat is currently not doing great at all and it's kernel-level too, and what Vanguard does VAC could do too if its database was updated by Valve, but it isn't. more info: https://steamcommunity.com/app/730/discussions/0/5291222404435345559/
3. permanent bans — what kind of permanent bans are you talking about? if it's about HWID — it never works too, if it's about IP bans — just lol, if it's about ID verification — it's 1984 but doesn't prevent cheaters from buying old grandmas' IDs from database leaks, look at China, it's already happening there. or at faceit verified queue
my opinion is still the same — cheating should be impossible or preventable from a technical standpoint, instead of trying to do something with people who cheat or with people who make cheats.
and banning people for the fact that somebody is spinning their mouse really fast at roughly the same time as hitting their teammates with friendly fire off is NOT cheating prevention.

edit: by your logic you're also suspicious for having your steam profile private
sus software to take control and to everything they wants on your computer .
Example ;
GTA V added some Kernel trash and guess what ?
It was bypassed with paid cheats 4 hours after implementation .
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Some ESEA admin bricked PCs of players because those were used for cryptomining through the kernel level AC.
and the worst part is that it's for no real protection against cheaters, you're still going to get destroyed by them but you are now required to keep your windows up to date despite no vulnerabilities that you care about were fixed in the last update, you are now required to turn on secure boot that'll break your linux installation in dual boot if you have it, or you won't be able to boot from your Tails OS usb flash drive, etc etc.
more inconvenience and yes security risks too for no real benefit
I'm thankful to Valve that they're not adding kernel AC but really can't be thankful to them about them seemingly doing almost nothing, not even continuing to use their previous solutions that did work in the past
:DDD yeah probably should envy that
and yep about that story — case in point; should've remembered that and brought that up too
