Max players?

I wanted recently to make a tournament with my friends (school vs school), but we encountered the max players problem. In ANY GAMEMODE the 11th player can't join, the button JOIN JUST DISAPPEARS. Any ideas?
( -The 11th player is the commentator for our game
- Obviously I tried all mp_limits, autoteambalance, switching to deathmatch/casual, -maxplayeroverride )

did you restart the game after those commands?

You need to do it in the server files for it to work

I mean, you can start a private match and then load the config for the server

Put in "maxplayers 12" or 11 somewhere in this config you load

I made a casual with 10 players and then the 11th got an error

Hmm....well, seems like the command was changed again. It has to be some kind of sv_ command since it would be for server. Idk which one it would be

there's a command or two under sv_spec_

Idk what they do though. Def new commands since I set up a server/ private match

The player cap is restricted by map spawn locations. If a map only has 5 spawn locations per team on defuse game mode. Then nobody else can join.

The only remedy is to enable random spawn/respawn. Which,.I can't fully endorse.

Guess I will have to create a real server using steamcmd ((((
