It's nothing the community didn't know. Now I go open a few cases.
Short said: If you are able to think by your own, you neither need to rage of that gaym, like it is, like it ever was. listen to E.Kant!
THATS NOT RIGHT! YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOURSELF. EVER AND EVER BEEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What's the difference between opening a lootbox and opening a pack of pokemon/yugioh/magic, etc. trading cards? Both of them have items that sell for real money, have rare/common items, and neither are regulated. Should trading cards only be sold to people over the age of 18?
Maybe parents should actually parent their children instead of letting the internet raise them or demand that the government raise their children for them.
You pay to take odds on a desirable result. That's gambling.
Just because there's nothing in a prize pool to say there's a complete loss, doesn't make it any less so I'm afraid. I know of gambling rackets that offer cashback on every spin.
"Hey, you might not win big on our slots but hey we're kind enough to give you a small portion of what's spent on each spin back as a prize. Aren't we kind? You win every time!"
It's a predatory psychological tool. Much like what's often exposed in these documentaries. If anything I find these more nefarious than gambling scenarios where there's a risk of getting ZERO. Because at least in that instance there's a shock. An incentive to quit with minimal loss.
If there's always a reward that is lower value than what was spent, (and there is always going to be a deficit somewhere because otherwise these rackets wouldn't be profitable), it just gives incentive to people in spending more and fools them into thinking that the end result isn't that bad, or was close to winning big. Because they got something .
Also , you are late for more than a decade to complain about microtransactions ...
