Cs2 or GS:GO

I am astonished by the amount of bad comments I have read since the release.

Was the release rushed?

Probably, at least it feels so to me. But the last couple of months everyone was just begging for a Beta invite and they just tried to make the game available to everyone.

Is there a lack of content? Yes! We didn't get any new content and there is still some CS:GO content missing. But those points shouldn't make or break the game since they can easily get added later on. They have barely enough servers for Premiere so no wonder they don't add Dangerzone and War-Games.

Are there still bugs and the performance could be better?

Yes and yes. And this was to expect. Also I don't understand why people with a 14year old processor cry about not being able to play. At some point you have to upgrade your OS and pc-components to play "new" titles.

I paid for CS:GO and now they stole it from me?

I don't know what to say to those people. It's literally just an upgraded version of CS:GO.

Let's compare CS2 to CS:GO:

+ better engine (gives the developers more room for innovation -> more content possible)

+ better servers (64subtick is FOR SURE better than regular old 64tick)

+ better looking game (like the style or not, models, UI, visability, the reworked maps and a lot more look simply better and more modern)

+ new mechanics (CS:GO felt "figured out" from time to time, the new mechanics like the new smokes feel refreshing for long time players)

Of course there are things that HAVE to improve. Server stability, audio, overall performance, content, ... just to name a few. And we should tell Valve what has to be done to get the game on the level we want. But you have to be blind to not see that CS2 is the future.

Half the complaints about cs2 are people wearing rose tinted nostalgia glasses and thinking csgo was always a 10/10 masterpiece with 0 flaws whatsoever, Or just straight up misremembering how things worked (The recent complaints about running accuracy for example)
with the other half being the endless malding about cheaters and actual valid complaints such as
Community server browser sucks (to be fair it also sucked in GO)
No info on where pulse scripting is (Its the successor to vscript and would be nice for community gamemodes)
0.1% low fps bug that nobody seems to know what actually causes it and seems to be non existent on some setups,
Linux port is hit or miss right now
Competitive rank algorithm needs to be tweaked either theres way to many people in the low ranks again or global is WAAAY to hard to obtain,
Packet sizes are huge compared to other games and affect people with bad internet more than it should (Devs are aware of this but have no ETA on when it will be lowered)
flying scouts is gone right now so the Asian bot problem is leaking into other gamemodes,
What happened to cancelling the match if a player isn't present at the start of pistol?
Lag compensation needs a bit of adjustment

My opinion is that lag would be the last problem with this game... How many times have you won the first round, then the gaming chair activated, followed by the spinbot, and then you couldn't do anything anymore?

It has been like this the recent years, I cant remember the last time a game was released where everyone was satisfied with. There will always be things that people are going to give their opnion on how it should be done.
But in the case of CS2 it's different because of the nature of the game. It emphasizes on a competetive experience ofcourse and because of that people are gonna complain (Alot of the times they've got a point) on the smallest details. But this comminuty is also very loud and pretty damn big so even tho it is a minority it feels like a whole bunch of people.
I just wish people would just send valve an email like they asked to instead of creating a reddit post, or posting a video on tiktok/youtube/etc.., complaining on twitter.
Mainly the people with a lot of followers like s1mple and other pro's or streamers can trigger a lot of shouting by just placing 1 tweet about how the movement feels sluggish to them.

The game looks great and feels amazing, it has alot of room for improvement still which a huge positive for me but above all it's an update to an existing game which means I don't have to pay for this game once more, even though CS is free now. I don't think enough people realise how great that is.

80 out of 100 matches .. more or less

the matches where it didnt activate i was the top fragger on my team in one of thous and did 20 k/d and clutch the match with 7 kills solo 8 - 0

But after that performance i was struck hard again by cheaters

This game has nothing more to offer, if even less, than CS:GO. If we had a choice to go back to csgo, I would absolutely take it. This game isn't worth $15, even if I got it for free. CS2 feels like an awful csgo update that only made the textures so that people with $3000 PC's can run it. It removed the accessibility it had with cheap setup players, and now I can't run even the worst graphics on 60FPS (I have roughly a $900 PC). I just don't think CS will ever be the same or as fun as the old days.
Is every update we get insignificant or just so valve can make money? When they are truly balanced with machmaching or selling we will have a good vanguard that actually works
