When bump mines, exojumps, and other such stuff was added, the game mode really did become comparable to Apex Legends, and at that point why not just play Apex Legends instead.
I consider Go4TheKill to be the best battle royale ever done on Source Engine: https://steamcommunity.com/groups/Go4TheKill_CSGO
2nd best was first iteration of Danger Zone for me,
3rd place is everything that followed for Danger Zone,
and then 4th place Apex Legends because I don't like long time to kill games.
