Vac does work. 93% of players were cheating up till 3 weeks ago. Now it's down to 67% cheaters.

No. You’re right. I mean it’s dumb to say everyone is cheating, but keep in mind VAC and VACNet (which has VACLive AI agents) are two very separate systems.

VAC is more or less a classic list-based antivirus. Best known direct example of this is an old freeware pre MacOS 8 antivirus called Disinfectant[en.wikipedia.org]. Like Disinfectant, VAC is relying purely on an internal list of known memory signatures created by cheats/trainers.


VACNet is more commonly like a heuristic cybersecurity system. VACNet relies heavily on the use of human review (Overwatch), and VACLive (AI agents used as spectators) for detecting behaviors that indicate cheating, much the same way heuristic cybersecurity systems rely on human input and AI to detect security threats.

I’ve seen VAC work twice in game and once during a livestream (the Clara meme).

VACNet in action is seen by the many complaints we are now seeing about “VAC Bans” in the CS2 forums where people are getting “VAC Banned” for 20 hours (in reality they were issued a 20 hour cooldown because someone in the match had been caught behaving in a way that is cheating).

Bro thats just stupid to say because no one cheated or que on purpose with cheaters but this stuff still happened to alot of people and for some magical reason the last 2 days alot

Or for some people 7 days because of random idiots. Sure let just ban everyone for a week or maybe rewoke it in time when we find that all other person were legit

That system does more harm than actually help when it punishes everyone equal. Hackers with more accounts can just get you off the game for a week now if they feel like getting detected or what xD

Someone was cheating or the match wouldn't have ended before it was over and you wouldn't have a cooldown.

Blame the cheater in the game not vac. Vac did its job.

Bro if a hackers wants to he can now just get you time banned for a day or week i hope you realise that. The ,,security,, could be abused by hackers to make that happen with a timeban on command. They know how to get past it while Openly hacking and not even beeing ashamed of it when you ask them. They definetly works which button will get them banned instantly if they just mess with some settings and thats bad for EVERYONE OF US now because of this AntiCheat

Either for trolling purposes or because he does not care and just want the match to get cancelled because someone annoys them
