Same thing happened to me. My Trust Factor was green and suddenly dropped to red even though I haven't used cheats or done anything differently.

I also have no idea what caused it. Have you found any way to improve or fix your Trust Factor since this happened? If you discover anything that works, please let me know. I'm trying to figure out if there is actually a solution to this problem.

there is no trust factor in the game anymore. u just need one red item in ur inventory and ur free to cheat the crap out of the game - just watch tutorial on youtube.
