Why does my map rank never go up?

For some context, I usually win most of my games top fragging or at least going positive. I'm assuming the problem is I keep playing with my friend who is abysmal ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ (he's silver 1, but in all reality they should make him a copper rank). No matter how many games I win and get 100+ ADR with him, I never get promoted, but constantly demoted. What gives?

Because personal performance doesn't matter. Only rounds won (for the hidden elo), and matches won (premier). The ranking system in this game is really convoluted and obscure, don't bother trying to understand it.

Just play faceit bro you will learn quicker how to play and it is more competitive mm rank does not matter and even if it did the whole ranking system is just ass it is random af.
