CS2 Needs Viewer Drops

So I feel that with the way CS2 is going to be in the coming months…

There needs to be 1 element added into this to boost the community engagement even more and help with the success of everyone in the game.

That answer is simple….

Add Viewer Reward Drops via Twitch/YT/Other Streaming Platforms.

Remember the Good Old Days of CSGO Majors with the Souvenir Drops? You had to have your Twitch Account Linked to CSGO and the. You also had to be in the chat to receive the souvenir drops?
Whatever happened to this feature?

As a content creator myself. I play a wide assortment of games besides CS.

I stream SoT and I have Drops Enabled on my Twitch and then I get viewers who come in and lurk for the drops and we have fun chatting.
I’ve had the same success with streaming Madden NFL and a few other game titles.

Now we have to ask ourselves this major question which would be:
“What would be “Ideal” as Drops for “Viewer Rewards” for CS2?”

The short answer would be that is up to Valve and the Devs.
But, you could perhaps get drops that are from the Majors like we did back in the day.
What about receiving something like an in-game item that you cannot trade/sell but it’s a special edition item like a weapon skin/graffiti/sticker/other?

What If we had a feature of Charms we could apply to our weapons much like stickers? These charms could get swapped in and out and not be transferred from our accounts?

To add on with this part. Everyone whose watching the creator, there is only a specific type of item as a viewer reward and it makes it so there’s no chance of scamming or tanking the market.

When I mentioned the idea of charms earlier… Think of all those Display Medals in your inventory from Operation Coins to Major Pick Ems and others. What if you could apply those as charms to your guns?
I myself have all those medals set to “Shuffle” in my current Loadout. But if it was for an example a Major and I got the best Pick Em Badge alongside it I opened a souvenir case. I could add the badge as a charm to the souvenir skin as a compliment to the event itself where the badge was from.

At the end of the day though, CS2 Item Drops as viewer rewards on Twitch would be really fun to keep the community engaged with the content around the revamp on the game.

You nuts? It doesn't need anything, look at the market going into meltdown with CS2 hype. Valve just need to sit back watch the billions rolling in and get the game right for summer release.
