Question: Do you need a key to open a Prisma 2 case?

Prisma 2 Weapon Case needs a Prisma 2 Weapon Case Key, yes. You get them ingame when you click that Weapon Case to open it.

all weapon cases require a designated key to open. those keys are also only one-time usable, so if you wanna open 10 cases, you need to buy 10 keys

CS doesnt give you anything for free apart from the drops at the end of the game. You need to purchase the key in the ingame store to open it
