Request for manual review of cooldowns and improvement of the protection system for fair players in CS2
Hello Valve team and Counter-Strike 2 support staff!
I ask you to carefully consider my request and pass it on to an employee who can conduct a manual check of my case. A cooldown was issued on my Counter-Strike 2 account, although I played honestly and did not use prohibited programs, third-party scripts or other means that give an advantage over my opponents.
I understand that Valve uses automated systems to analyze matches, player behavior and possible violations. However, in this case, I believe that the system may not have worked correctly. Please do not limit yourself to the standard automatic response, but actually check the match, my actions, connection to the server and the circumstances under which the cooldown was issued.
I did not intentionally leave the match or try to break the rules of the game. If a technical glitch, disconnection, or other problem occurred during the game, it was not done on purpose. I always try to play fair and follow the rules, so I don't think it's fair to get a ban for a violation I didn't commit.
I ask a Valve employee to personally check this case and explain why the cooldown was issued. If after checking it turns out that the restriction was assigned incorrectly, I ask you to cancel it and restore the normal status of my account.
I would also like to draw attention to a more general problem. In my experience, Counter-Strike 2's automatic systems sometimes lack precision. They may not always correctly distinguish true violations from technical problems, normal game situations, or the actions of honest players. Because of this, conscientious users may receive penalties without understanding what exactly they did wrong.
I believe that Valve needs to continue to develop the server protection system and anti-cheat. It would be useful to implement a more powerful and accurate server-side anti-cheat, comparable to or superior to FACEIT-level systems. Such a system should take into account not only individual player actions, but also full match statistics, account behavior, connection history, recurring signs of violations and technical circumstances.
At the same time, it is important that the system does not automatically punish players without the possibility of a full review. Even the most modern automatic system can make mistakes, so in cases of dispute there should be a high-quality manual check by Valve employees.
I love Counter-Strike 2 and want to continue to grow within the game. In the future, I plan to create a really high-quality and beautiful map for CS2, paying attention to its design, atmosphere, optimization and gameplay. I would like to create useful content for the community and, perhaps, collaborate with Valve in the future or participate in the development of Workshop projects.
However, for such development it is important to feel that honest players are protected and controversial restrictions are considered objectively. I am ready to follow the rules of the game, provide the necessary information and cooperate with support, but I would like to receive not a template answer, but a real verification of the situation.
I ask you:
Submit your request to a Valve employee for manual review.
Check the match and the circumstances for issuing the cooldown.
Determine whether the violation was committed intentionally.
Check whether the limitation was caused by a technical error, connection failure, or incorrect operation of the automatic system.
Cancel cooldown if it is confirmed that it was issued in error.
Provide an explanation of the reason for the restriction.
Pay attention to the need to improve the server anti-cheat and the system for checking controversial cases.
I understand that Valve processes a large number of requests every day, but please do not ignore this situation. I am an honest player, I do not use prohibited programs and I want to play Counter-Strike 2 without unfair restrictions.
I hope that my case will be reviewed objectively and manually. I also hope that in the future the protection system will become more accurate, and honest players will be better protected from erroneous punishments and real violators.
Thank you for your time and attention. I would be grateful for a detailed answer after checking the situation.
Best regards,
Counter-Strike 2 player

I didn’t play with cheats. Period.

An ordinary cheater can just create a new account. Why don’t I do that?
Nobody said you cheated.

You got a cooldown for greifing though. Cooldowns are reserved for greifers. You broke the rules. You deserve the cooldown.

If you don't know the rules I suggest you go read them.

There’s no point in going on; just look at your favorite YouTube creators—you’ll see that they, too, run into temporary bans. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9UJWSwCAhRo
That's not true. That guy is a known russian cheater/greifer. He deserves it.

He's not legit by a longshot hahahaha😂🤣

Nice try though.

Play to win. And one more thing: you’d better keep quiet.

If you think he's legit I'm laughing😂🤣
A well-known Russian cheater. Terrible.
Yeah it's so terrible. I would never guess a Russian is a cheater in cs hahahaha.

You get funnier with every comment. Ty for the belly laughs! This is so fun!

I'm not leaving yet. So did you ask Valve why you got the cooldown?
