[GeForce Now Bug] Workshop maps not downloading or syncing in CS2
Hi everyone,

I'm having a persistent issue when playing CS2 via GeForce Now. Whenever I subscribe to Steam Workshop maps, they fail to download or sync properly inside the game session. Because of the cloud architecture, the maps just don't appear when I launch the game.

I've already tried clearing the game cache and basic troubleshooting, but nothing works. Is there any workaround for this, or are other GFN users experiencing the same thing?

Thanks for any help!

that is not the steam problem.

It actually could be a Steam-related issue. Workshop maps used to work for me in CS2 on GeForce NOW, but now they no longer download or sync properly. I've already tried basic troubleshooting, and the issue persists. If it's not a Steam issue, what makes you so sure it's not related to Steam Workshop syncing?

GFN is a limited cloud desktop to play games, steam itself don't support it directly. If something on GFN desktop breaks(including steam) that is not a steam problem, that is a gfn problem. Go ask for help on their website idk.

CS2 recently had an update that shifted some game files and changed how Workshop maps are pathing. Because of this file structure change, GFN's Cloud setup can't find or sync the new folder correctly. So it's a mix of both the game update and GFN's system.

again, steam don't officially support gfn. Any questions about broken features should be asked to them.
