The VAC is making bad decisions or they changed him and didn't tell us
It hasn't only happened to me, but to several players from different regions; VAC reads their plays poorly and bans them, for a short or long time. I am one of those cases, as possibly you are too.

I've made this comment so that we all openly publish this error and it gets fixed as fast as possible. I trust Steam since they've always shown they fix their bugs, but I'd like to add that these VAC [bans] should be sent to us or removed from our history, as Trust Factor can read it and it also damages our reputation.

Comment and repost this daily until Steam fixes it. Please.

Uninstall, let the game die. Just got banned for 20 hours for nothing. Didn't even play good. Can't imagine what the VAC would do to a pro player from back in the days. I guess the only way to be safe it so be a massive twitch streamer, only way to get the special treatment.
I’m experiencing exactly the same problem, and it’s extremely frustrating.

I have never used cheats, but I keep receiving Global Cooldowns because I played in a party with a friend whose gameplay was flagged by VAC as irregular.

We’ve received multiple cooldowns: 20 hours, 26 hours and now even 7 days. What’s even more frustrating is that this keeps happening even after my friend deleted the cheats and changed his Steam account.

We are simply trying to enjoy the game, but now we are afraid to play because we might receive another ban.

Valve really needs to investigate this system. Innocent players shouldn’t be punished for someone else’s actions without proper verification.

Is anyone else experiencing the same issue?

In my case, I don't know anyone who has used hacks, or at least not that I know of. But either way, the VAC came out of nowhere, and it is frustrating. I hope they improve it now, since a massive number of players are affected.

I think we need to make Valve see their mistake! We don't need to be streamers; what we need is a massive movement among the players, because I believe there are no bad players. I've seen how friends and even I started out bad, but improved immensely compared to when we only had 100 hours! So everyone can improve; the problem is VAC and bugs like this that hold us back. Plus, CS2 is already a sport.

this ♥♥♥♥ happens because of people like your friend. you just want to enjoy the game? i wouldn't enjoy to play against your lobby when one of you cheats bro. and if it's your friend and the the cooldown is deserverd you deserve it aswell.

for all legit players it sucks tho
