CS GO FACTORY NEW SKIN FIX

I think this is a huge problem.

Most of the knifes are factory new and pristine...and some factory new and scratchy this affects the value a lot and im sure many people wish this fixed already.

This issue is extending for a while now and if a skin is factory new then it must be pristine....please fix this asap

No, that's not how it works. Factory new ranges from 0% - 6% wear. That means a factory new can look flawless, or have a few scratches.

wll it shoudnt cuz some mws look same as the fac news so its not fair for owners...fac new is fac new...shoudnt have any wear at all

If it really bothers you so much your FN skin has some scratches, sell, or trade it, then get an identical one with no scratches. You'll only lose a little bit to the sale comission, maybe nothing if you get a good trade.

No, it makes perfect sense. Some minimal wears look like factory new's because they have the lowest wear a MW skin can have. Minimal wear ranges from 7% - 15% wear, and on some skins, it's hard to even tell the difference between FN and MW. It's your fault you didn't understand the basics of how skins work before you invested in a knife.

i didnt invest in a knife...lol and i understand the basics but that wear principle is wrong becauase i already saw fn with most wear then minimal wears.pure bugs.nothing else.

A scratchy Fn crimson is worth 400 keys less then a fn with scratch minimum....sooo....i think thats not necessarily cheap and simple.

Then why are you getting so worked up over a theoretical knife you don't have? And no, it's not a bug. It's how it works. And I can barely comprehend what you're trying to tell me. "less then a fn with scratch minimum". What? Is this skin you're talking about MW or FN? Make up your mind.

Who cares about the termanology? Each wear ranges from x% - y% of wear. If you think that FN shouldn't have any scratches, good for you, but the code doesn't agree with you. And the icon thing you mentioned was fixed in a recent update, so each item has its own correct icon at this point. And no, I didn't develope the game, so I didn't make up the "rules" for how the wear percents work. I agree that factory new probably shouldn't have scratches considering... well, it's called "Factory New". But again, who cares? It's how the game was coded so you're going to have to deal with it.

Exactly this.

It makes the knives slightly randomized, so some knives are worth more and they don't all looks the same. I think its quite neat of an idea by valve.

Well I just found the actual real numbers.

0-7% scratches is factory new,

8-15% is minimal wear,

field tested is 15-37%,

well worn is 38-44%

and 45-100% scratches is battle scarred.
