Console won't open no matter what key I bind it to
I origanally had it to my ~ key but once I changed my graphic settings the HUD and map went missing. I simply closed and re launched but after that my console won't open. It also won't even let me rebind it to my ~ key. I'm currently using a ROCCAT RYOS mechanical keyboard. Also it never saves my command "fps_max 60" when it did work -_-

It won't save fps_max.

You need to make a autoexec.cfg file in cs directory, with your fps_max command in there. CSGO will run the cfg when you open it, limiting it to 60fps (if 60 is indicated after fps_max)
As for console.

Right click CSGO - properties, local files, verify integrity of game cache. If still broken after - http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2901669

"set launch options of cs:go and add -console to the launch options."

Hey guys, if you have issues with getting the console to work try some of theese steps:

  1. Add -console to startup options for CS:GO
  2. Enable devloper console in the game settings
  3. Change the keybinding of the console to X, in the game settings (i tried binding the key to F1, and for some reason it didn't work in watch mode...)
  4. Add an autoexec file with the 'command console 1'(google it) - remember to also add -autoxec in the startup options

    Cheers

Only on English keyboards. So it needs to be changed to a different key. ;)
If anyone, for some reason is having this problem still (As I did) I figured out the problem (at least in my case) It's because I play with this thing made by BananaGaming (YouTuber) that changes some texts to different colors, and makes the game have a better feel. And you have to have "-language bananagaming" in your launch options, which makes the game think you aren't using a English language, which in return (if u have an English keyboard) makes the ` key to not work. What I did was just rebound it to ~ (The shift held version of ` ) This worked for me :) Hope it helps someone else!
