Joining ongoing matches
Recently, lots of competitve matches I join in tends to have one guy who directly left at start. This makes the match unfair and mostly a direct loss.

Last game for instance where I played reasonable though, but an other teammate was mad at the people who he felt played bad after like 5-7 rounds (you could hear him cursing through mic) and gave up. Making the team lose complete moral and hope to play well.
I blame the loss mostly on the guy who left at the begin.

I can't see how much I need to derank or rank-up, but does this absence of one of our teammates at start get compensated?
Less elo-points lose or even gain since I played well.

This sucks and I feel bad for everyone who have to suffer like this.

Why not make random people able to join matches which has already started, but it has some opens spots left due to people who abandoned the game.
Make it an option for us to choose.

So now random people will join the game, see you're losing, and leave. Solving nothing.

OR now you just invented a new way of boosting.

Queue up with baddies at low rank, 1 guy quits, Global Elite takes his spot.

I also can't imagine many people WANT to join a match in progress...

- If the gap of match score is higher than 8 forget it or only let people join in during the first half. When it occurs at the beginning or close to the beginning there's still hope left to turn things around.

OR now you just invented a new way of boosting.
- How?

Queue up with baddies at low rank, 1 guy quits, Global Elite takes his spot.
- Obviously you can only be matched with people from your level.

I also can't imagine many people WANT to join a match in progress...
- Perhaps give them rewards?

Rewards? So, now you're taking away from regular matchmaking. Which makes MM suffer. Not a good idea.

I don't believe splitting the MM community into is a good idea. Queue times are long enough, mix in that some people might use this "feature" or whatever you want to call it, now they are even longer.

I think your idea will be littered with griefers + leavers. But, that's my personal opinion.

-Insert reputation rank perhaps. People with low rep earn drops slower or something else for leaving. By joining ongoing matches they can regain reputation.

Why does MM have to suffer? There's no logic behind this for me. MM, won't have to suffer it always takes about 20 sec for me to find a game. This game used to have 40k people on at max and still it only took 20 sec for me to find matches. Blame mm failure for cs go going on sale, cause that's what makes this game unstable all the time. Just don't balme it on lack of people, cause that's really not the case.

-I don't think so.
