promoted twice in 1 day?

i got a new pc and much higher fps. the first two days i had it i was promoted from silver2 to silver elite. but i had only played 5 matches. im not complaining i just wanna know how that happened so fast. i thought you had to win at least 10 matches in a row before getting promoted.

I dont know how it works at lower levels but it takes me about 5 wins in a row or so to rank up and im Eagle. If you were getting a very high score throughout those games that you won then i could see how it would rank you up fast.

even getting extremely high scores it will not rank you up any faster

well, in my experience. 4 wins for a rank. but i'm still below 50 games with 33 wins..

The more matches you have played the harder it is to shift your rank, the less games you have played the more volitile your rank is. Early win streaks can put you high above your suited skill bracket, but subsequent losses because of you anchoring will fix it pretty quickly. If you win your first 20 matches in a row you can get to global elite. However, if you are a nova with 50 wins 90 games played, you would need a giant streak to get all the way to global elite.

The elo system is based entirely on team performance. You top fragged and were the only positive player on your team? Well too bad because two people left and you lost to lower ranked people 16-6. Enjoy the de-rank.
