No, its for the steam Id associated with that account. However if you were banned for a cheating infraction and say you get banned then open up another account and had some cheat software still installed, that account would go as well.

but so VAC bans are useless...

so everyone who was VAC banned can make a new account on the same pc and rebuy the game?

Typically, someone like myself and alot of other people would hate to lose the 80+ games I have on my account 45% of them are played on VAC servers, so I would not want to do it, however CSGO is a dif story when they run their sales specials, you see people all the time buying an account just to boost people for rank then ditch the account once its either vac or overwatch banned. And Yes they can.

Well IP yes but you can still go make another account and buy whatever game you got banned for and play again, just need to make sure you remove w/e cheat you were using. In Steams TOS agreement you give steam the right to scan your computer (steam files) for anything out of the ordinary that would make you a cheater.

its just your steam id. like STEAM:0:1:123456789 . no hardware ban. just buy a lot of accounts on next sale on april and you will be okay. vac bans are only for known cheats, steam has a library. make your own cheats and pwn!

so i was banned on dead by daylight 179 days ago it says vac ban anyway i tried to make a new account and it got banned almost instantly keep in mind i got banned for a cosmetic glitch nothing to help me win it didnt make me inviz or nothing and i got banned so i decided if i cant make a new steam account and buy the game than ill just make a account and buy the game on epic games got banned again so i messaged them and they said i can play dbd on xbox switch and ps4/5 just not epic or steam so i changed my hardwhere numbers and all and ill tell yall if it works
