This game is for kids. We need a CS: Source 2.

Been a long time player of Counter Strike: Source. Easily the best shooter of all time. Those that couldn't play it gave up and went to Call of Duty. Those that could were rewarded with thousands of hours of fun.

I couldn't think of any ways with which the game could be improved. Maybe on the graphics. But the graphics were still great for a game that came out years ago.

I bought Global Offensive because I felt asif I owed it to Valve/Steam.

What a terrible game. Took the Counter-Strike physics and mechanics right out of it. The one thing that made Counter-Strike stand alone from all the other crappy shooters that get released each year.

It feels like Team Fortress 2 cross with Call of Duty Ghosts. This is just a run and gun shooter. Nothing unique here.

If you want a true counter-strike experience, play CS: Source or 1.6. Not this.

Valve, you brough shame to your name releasing this garbage. Guess you were scared that if you didn't go mainstream the game wouldn't sell. Thanks for thinking about us hardcore fans that helped you shape the game.

And what's worse is that you've started to bring in elements of Global Offensive into Source. Such as the sounds, the way the ladder is viewed when you press tab, and the crappy box that pops up at the end of each round displaying 'Terrorists Win' in bright red.

Ugh.

If you really feel the need to make another game. Make a Counter Strike Source 2. Basically Counter Strike Source with updated graphics. Don't change anything else. Do what you know works.

Counter Strike Source outsold every other shooter ever released. Don't know what went wrong in your studio.

Yes..? It is an improved CS experience compared to Source and I say this because I know both thoroughly and stated so with factual comparisons of gameplay. CSS is easier and miles more friendly to the "run & gun" audience.

Funny how you want to point out discrepancies that aren't there, when you're saying things like "Source sold a lot of copies like 8 years ago" in an attempt to state some sort of superiority.

On August 3, 2011, Activision confirmed that the game had sold over 22 million copies worldwide (cod mw2)

"As of November 5, 2013, Modern Warfare 3 has sold 26.5 million copies"

"As of November 5, 2013, the game (black ops 2) has sold 24.2 million copies"

I am not a huge cod fan. but saying cod never touched this number is stupid because it has.

The reason cs go gets kids playing it, but source doesn't, is because cs go was released at a time where kids play fps more and more. At the time source was made children weren't playing as many fps's. If you made a CS:S 2, kids would play it. Its just how it is these days.

Counter-Strike: Source was a lot more fun, for sure. But that's only because of the different modes; Zombie Escape/Mod, Jail, Fun, Surf etc. I know these modes are on CS:GO as well, but they aren't as much fun as in CS:S.

The only reason I play CS:GO is for the ranked mode.

ummm you cant compare call of duty to counter strike because counter strike only had pc as its platform, also there was 2 console versions, also there are more "gamers" now than before (just like punk rock music, games were a rebelious act of being anti social at one point and now its a jock dude bro thing)

i am unable to find any number matching 20 million for css. i have found 2.1 million but that is from 2008 and I doubt that they sold 17.9 million since then.
