CS:GO not compatible with Windows 8?
Well running the upgrade assistant from windows 7 to windows 8, it says that Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is not a compatible app/program for Window 8.

So you can't play CS:GO on windows 8 machines ?

Really?

Microsoft in a nutshell is a messed up -----

Internet Explorer --> Fail. Solution: Firefox/Chrome
Media Center --> Fail. and not pre-installed in Win 8 Solution: VLC
Outlook --> Fail. Solution: Google Mail
Live messenger --> Fail. Solution: Merged with skype.
list goes on....

I have Windows 8.1 Pro and CS GO works fine. Also, if you're running Windows 8, get the Windows 8.1 update. It's free for anybody that has WIndows 8, and you get it by going to your Start screen and opening the Windows Store app. You'll see the Windows 8.1 update in there

Doesnt boost fps, but CPUs seem to respond beter on it. So in general is more smoother, atleast with BF4, havent noticed any diffrence with GO.

Well for me its not that all good and stuff.
Whelp I got these games that do not work

GTA IV
CS:GO
L4D2
I used to be able with 7, forced to update to 8.1 b/c of a corruption in the C: drive and yeah so I can't play the games. it just says I do whenever I click the game. Updated drivers, I don't know where to to turn, I have a inspiron 620 if that's the issue, only one I could afford, the graphics is a Intel(R) Family Graphics so that might be the issue but I could play before I updated to 8.1 so if you guys know really anything about this issue I'd love to know further more.:melon:

Windows 8 is faster and the only feature that's kinda missing (just buried deep) is shadow copies. Startisback is a great gui replacement

EDIT: Also just saying doing a fresh install is always better than an in place upgrade
