500hz vs 1000hz Mouse Polling Rate
so on my Corsair Raptor M40 I have been using 1000 hz polling rate till recently I decided to switch to 500 to see if there is a notable difference. At once I noticed that my sensitivity almost felt lower on wrist movements but higher on arm movements. I am on on windows 8 (heard they changed mouse ballistics and such) and would like to know what you guys think.

What? I used palm grip on Deathadder 2013 and it works so well. Claw grip? What? Why?

1600 dpi? I use same mouse. In game 1.5 and dpi 400. And 1000hz.

To OP. I say try a few settings and see what you like. If 500 and 1000 don't make a difference then I suggest using the 1000.

There is a lot of difference.
And I'll tell you exactly how to spot it.

1) Open MS paint
2) set 1000mhz
3) draw some shapes, circles, lines.
4) set 125mhz
5) draw shapes below the old ones

You will see all the difference

Guys i've been using corsair harpoon RGB with 1000hz polling rate..but there's problem if I'm change it to 125hz if I move the mouse quick enough it bounce to center and then to the direction I choose.. anyone have solution ?

Yo! I've figured out my minimum sens! I've got 600 DPI and my TF2 sense is 2.5!!! That's about as low as i can go!

Well it all depends on the CPU and current CPU load. 500 is a good setting for most gamers unless you are using all high end components. But for the average gamer 500 samples per second is a high enough rate. Most will barely or not even notice a change between the two but could see the CPU load go up a little. While it should not cause any FPS loss it may load the CPU more. I try to keep my CPU load at a minimum for the system and let the game use as much of the CPU as possible. Increasing settings like this increases the system CPU load.

it is basically personal preference. Try each polling rate and see what best for you. My friend keeps recommending me 1000hz but it isn't for me. so im going for 500hz.
