Shooting 3 bullets at once is burst.. Hence the name Burst; bursting bullets^
Thanks for the laugh doh :P
*Double face palm*
You can burst fire in automatic mode which is shooting 2-4 bullets, let recoil reset, shoot 2-4 bullets, let recoil reset, etc.
But it's not the same as burst mode. In burst mode, 3 bullets leave your gun simultaneously with one click and you can't keep shooting nonstop (automatic).
Burst mode is great for close combat with glock (3 accurate bullets each shot instead of spamming fire which is "slower" every 3 bullets and loses accuracy) and for picking with Famas. I've seen people use Famas burst mode and constantly headshot.
Do this: Start an OFFLINE game with harmless bots. Buy a weapon, stand about 20 feet from a blank wall and hold down shoot WITHOUT moving your mouse at all. The guns recoil will pull the gun up and left or right (every gun is different). You will see the pattern on the wall. Now do the same thing in a new, clean wall and pull your mouse in the opposite of the pattern (down and left or right) and you will find the bullets all stay centered. This is controlling the spray recoil. All guns are different but for beginning, just always remember: Down and Left. Pulling down and left on almost any gun will compensate for the recoil and keep the bullets fairly centered. Even during an actual firefight, aim, hold down fire and pull Down and Left.
As for burst firing, stand against a clean wall again and burst (2-4 bullets). You will find they are pretty centered. Guns recoil resets after a moment of non-use (about 1 to 1.5 seconds or so is good for most). Practice this by shooting (2-4 bullets), wait 1 sec (just say "ONE") then burst another 2-4 bullets. Repeat this and you should be able to rapidly fire straight through an entire clip (only momentarily stopping for that "ONE" sec recoil reset) and have all bullets hit about the same spot. You'll have to get used to the exact changes between each gun but basically that's burst firing. It's waay more accurate than spraying as you will see.
As for headshots, start by aiming at the head/neck with every gun. Always. Burst firing on most guns can then translate into a headshot. Head is priority unless they are super far away then go for center mass.
Always aim at head. Burst 2-4 bullets, say "ONE", burst 2-4 bullets. Always pull Down and Left when spraying. You'll fine tune details later.
