How to increase rank?

well i was wondering how you increase rank in csgo, do you play competitive mode or?

and if yes, what is your rank based on, how many wins you have?
or how many games you've played?
or how many you killed?
or K:D ratio?

or what?

also i dont see why ppl say silver rank 1 is so bad and worst of the worst and stuff, i played against silver 1 ranks that were really good

Silver 1 is literally the worst rank in the game. There isn't a lower rank.

So yeah, it's bad. Sorry to say, Silver 4 is bad too.

You need wins, and you need constant wins to rank up. Number of overall wins doesn't matter, you nee consistent wins and you'll rank up.

lol so this game is luck based then, if you get in a good team when you enter competitive mode 5 times in a row, you only then will rank up? lool.

or you need good friends that are good and play with you... -.-

so the rank is not based on skill, then. but how many "friends" you have or how lucky you are.

silver 1 rank isn't BAD, stop throwing ♥♥♥♥ you dont know anything about. most silver 1 stars i played against were pretty good.

I got to SMFC before I started playing with friends, and now I've been Global Elite for a long time.

Rank is based loosely on skill, you can't be retarded and be GE, and you can't be good and still be silver.

rank is based on your win % as well as K:D.
if you regularly beat ranks above you expect to rank up, if you lose to lower ranks expect to rank down.

forget about rank and focus on enjoying the game and getting better. Some important things are:
map knowledge(common spots)
spray control,
flashes, smokes and grenades
aim
game sense

if you can't develop and improve your game sense forget it, play something else. not trying to be a jerk but game sense is what you need to get further. you can have the sharpest aim in the world but there are many situations where it's not enough. the further ranks you climb the better game sense you find in players.

lol im not bad at this game, im pretty good actually. i was top player in bf3 and im also pretty good in csgo and all fps shooters. i think yourself will die/lose many times to silver 1 rank players.

i know, but you mean win % overall (demolition, arms race, casual, deathmatch, etc?) or just win % on competitive mode?

is it also possible to lose a rank?

the MM system only always match you with equal of skill on your opponents, so its hard really to climb the ranks then even if u win cause they are not higher ranks then yourself.

and if you play with friends, that are lower ranks then u, like silver 2-3 stars, u get matched with silver 2-3 stars. i have not seen any difference on skill whether they were silver 1 rank star or some other rank symbol i dont know of, i think the rank system is whack.

Just play and have fun, the really high ranks sound not like a lot of fun with all the people that are supposedly hacking (I'm a Silver 4 noob so no/very very few hackers in the mines).
