[SOLUTION] Screen Tearing
I had screen tearing problems and I tried everything. I turned on the Vertical Sync and that fixed the screen tearing, but it introduced mouse lag. I turned off V Sync and that introduced screen tearing. I couldn't find a solution that worked. Until now.

I have finally found a couple of solutions to the screen tearing problem that many of us seem to have (according to the Steam Forums).

Here is how to fix it:

First Solution (guaranteed to work with any game):
- Go to your Nvidia Control Panel or AMD Catalyst Control Center and turn on VSYNC
- Turn VSYNC off in CS:GO settings

Second Solution (might help with CS:GO only):
- Go to your video settings and turn off vertical sync.
- Go to ADVANCED, then disable fullscreen and switch to BORDERLESS/FULL SCREEN WINDOWED mode.
- Click apply then back out of the menu settings

Now you can join a game and notice that your screen tearing has completely been eliminated! :D

I hope this helped some of you.

Thank you for your time! Happy Hunting!

Thank you so much, good sir!

I was really disappointed regarding the tearing issue (I hate it with a passion), and vsync produces soooo much mouse lag in this game! Your post really helped out, it's incredible that nobody else said anything since Jan...
I was starting to regret my purchase until I found this, so thank you kindly once again! :)

The brightness is unchangeable in borderless smartass.
Like many other options.

You can change your brightness, contrast, saturation and everything else in your GFX program. I have an ATI card so I use AMD Catalyst and turn up my brightness and contrast for CSGO.

This question maybe is a little bit to late to ask becuse most of the comments where posted 2014-2015. Here is the question: When you said advansed video settings do you mean in like the nvidia controll panel or in cs go? Becuse in cs go there is nothing called advanced video setting. Maybe i am wrong but i just wonder if it was in the nvidia control panel or in CS GO?
