CS2 brought a ton of hype, more players, and better-looking skins, which naturally drove up demand. On top of that, a lot of older cases aren’t dropping anymore, so those skins are getting rarer. Plus, some people treat skins like investments now, buying them up expecting prices to rise even more. Throw in things like trade restrictions and even outside factors like crypto influencing the market, and you’ve got today’s insane prices. It sucks for anyone trying to buy back their old skins, but at this point, it’s just how the market has evolved."
If you're just starting to get back into skins, YouTube is a good place to look. A lot of YouTuber's entire accounts are revolved around budgets and such. Slaid is a pretty great channel to checkout if you haven't.
