You can get past it faster by doing missions with the pass.... Which just means PAY more to play the comp again

Yea its actually really stupid and I really despise they added this in, I get it if the account is new for new players but i someone hasent used an account in awhile and it takes away your rank, u shoulden't have to play the entire thing over again. Extreme annoyance is all it has become.

Yes, assuming u need 15,000 exp, 15000/200 = 75 matches. And that is atleast three evenings for me of doing something that I do not enjoy in big quantities. No, thank you.

From rank 1 to 3 its 10k xp (You start at 1 not at 0).

I recommend you playing casual (500 XP) as topfragger and Demolition (300 XP) up to rank 2.
Then wait for wednesday (Bonus XP reset). And do the same from 2 to 3.
Then you need to play about 30 games. If you try rank 1 to 3 in a single day it will become pain because the bonus xp is getting very low.

Rank 1 -> 2 (Bonus XP *4)
Rank 2 -> 2 1/2 (Bonus XP *2)
Rank 2 1/2 -> 3 (Bonus XP *1/2)

So as you can see, if you dont wait for reset after rank 2 it will take you 17 for rank 1 to 2.
And if you are a bit unlucky 30 for rank 2 to 3.

Very ridiculous this new system ... I have 700 hours, 266 victories in competitive, 6 years of CS community and 11 years of Steam ... but wait I'm smurf, I'm cheater ... so YOU have to play several hours of Casual or DM .... simply ridiculous.
As other people have said this had to be for accounts NEW... unfortunate...
