Deranking System, How Does it work?

So I've been playing CS:GO for a long time (600+ hours) and I've been doing really well. I went from Silver 2 to MG2 without ever being demoted once, only getting promoted. About a month ago, I got promoted to MGE. I was really excited because my goal in CS:GO MM is DMG, and I was only one rank away. I played 2 games after I got MGE, and they were both immediately after, and lost both of them. Got demoted down to Master Guardian 2 again. I got really frustrated and kinda stopped playing for a while.

I started back up about a week ago. I was doing okay, and then 3 games ago had a really nice game where I top fragged and we won like 16-4 or something like that, and got promoted back to MGE. Again, I was really excited to be back and thought I could do it this time. I just played two games today. Again, lost them both. And yet again, got demoted back down to MG2, even after doing well in both games.

So I guess my question is this: If I get promoted, and then I lose the next two games after it, even if I do well personally, am I guaranteed to get demoted? This seems to be the case with me and it just seems really stupid if that is the case, because I thought that your rank in CS:GO MM was dependant on your personal preformance, not the overall preformance of your team. It only seems to be dependant on your team's preformance if you lose two games after a promotion.

Can anyone veryify this? Has this been the case for anyone else? I'm just getting really frustrated with the stupid MM system in CS:GO and why the promotions and demotions seem to make no logical sense.

Was it the same case, like both of the losses were the first two games you played after getting to DMG?

my first rank was silver elite master and i have promoted to gn2, i always come top of leaderboards no matter what and i have only been promoted twice, my last 2 games i played i had a really bad team and tey didnt do anything, i suppose on purpose. and in both of them i get deranked to twice and now im silver elite master again, i never get promoted after doing so good, but these last two games i have ever played have been bad and i feel like the game hates me now after deranking me twice, i dont really know the reason for deranks, but it seems to me like its never me being bad, its just having absolute dog sh*t team mates. i even have a global elite friend, who has seen me play 5 times and said im atleast MGE standard, it really needs sorting out right now :/ thanks for reading this :) i hope they sort this out for all of us ;) GLHF
