I stopped playing CS Source when hacks took over..

I come back 10 years later and the hackers are still everywhere. Mind you I have played NO competitive matches yet, but in my 30 something hours so far, just about every match has not only a hacker, but them bragging about the hacks they are using, and/or discussing boosting accounts and selling ranks. Is this just a casuals match making thing or does it stem through the competitive ranking system as well? I was told to not mess with ESEA until DMG but I'm tempted to just get a fair run.

I've seen about 2 cheaters in casuals, and I get them kicked within a round if they are cheating. You're likely just bad, and you think all good players cheat.

No I KNOW I am bad, I have no quarrels being beat considering people are rocking 5 year coins and what not. I am talking about blatant open mic "I can see you coming for me" .. "I can see them planting at other site" .. "MSG me for ranks or scripts" type of stuff.

I'm old, no reason to ♥♥♥♥♥ about getting spanked by kids in a video game. I'm looking for an actual fair play and am wondering if paying for ESEA is the only way to find one.

10 years ago we played in cyber cafe's.. AOL dialup does nothing for CS @ home.

ESEA is only worth it for good, consistant LE+ players. If you arent that rank you will be yelled at constantly, and do terrible.

Play 10 placement matches in MM then come back and post your rank.

If you are not at least GN rank you have never played CS.

Competetive is a lot better Johnny. I havent seen too many hackers and yes they usually are in casual. But most of the time there are no hackers from my expeirence.
