because the scratch-pattern is randomly set... maybe your ak has the scratches at the playside and your friends ak at the backside

I just checked again, his gun has almost NO scratches, mine has them everywhere, it's really weird.

The condition is defined by the float value of the weapon, ranging from 0 to 1. Factory new weapons for example go from 0 to 0.07, Minimal Wear from 0.07 to 0.15, Field Tested goes from 0.15 to 0.37, Well Worn goes from 0.37 to 0.45 and the Rest is Battle Scarred.

That means a gun with 0.151 Float is technically Field Tested but definitely looks like Minimal Wear, while a gun with 0.369 is Field Tested as well but looks like Well Worn.

Every gun looks different

There's this "float" value. If an item is for example FT it has a float between 0.37>0.15
With 0.15 being the cleanest.

For example inspect both my ak redlines, or my awp asiimovs (BS)
Even though they are the same condition, there's a HUUUGE difrence in how they look.

Wow, thanks i had heard about it but didn't really understand. In my opinion, this system is complete bull****. So he bought a gun for the same price i did but better...This is stupid.

You can insepct a weapon before you buy/trade to it.
It's your own fault, They even put a disclaimer in the store that this is possible.

Yes i know it's my fault, but this is so stupid. I don't really get the point of doing this. I mean he bought the gun even cheaper than i did but so much better.

btw if you buy it for the sake of looks, yes that's quite a bad chioce, but if you are trading, a ft is still a ft even though it looks like mw, so the price and value it's still the same, (exeptions to high tier fn skins/knives, or you are a lucky sonofabich to get someone to like your more to mw/ww "look" skins) but yeah, a ft is still a ft
