This is way outdated I know, but I don't where else to ask. My problem is that I cant turn it on! I went in the settings and switch the thing on and whenever I closed the setting tab, it went back off. I tried restarting my pc after updating a bunch of crap like microsoft told me too but that didn't do anything as I expected.

I installed this dumb new update and my pc is trash so if I don't use their stupid game mode than I get less crucial frames. Please help ! Eventhough I am pretty much giving CPR to a 3 year old corpse while posting on this thread.

Windows key + G worked for me after the creator's update.

Everything is toggled on and win+G does nothing at all, I tried alot but there is yet to be sucess.

Is there a way to turn on the gaming mode without the game bar? The game mode is all I need because the update lowered my frames.

What I've used for my pc and 2 laptops is something called "o&o shutup10", it's very easy to use and safe to use (scanned with both malwarebytes and bit defender).

It has a lot of things that all windows10 users want.

And the game has to be on either windowed or borderless fullscreen to have game mode to work

Isn't this just for shuting off "security" features for privacy and stuff. Cause I don't care about all that jazz. I can turn that off on the settings. My problem is that I can't turn this stupid game bar on so I can put their trashy game mode on.
