HOW DO YOU CHANGE GAME NAME!!!!!

My profile name on steam is empty_clip25, but when I log on to a cs:go server its EMPTY. The option of going into "change profile name" doesn't work. When I bring up scoreboard or get a kill/death its EMPTY but in chat messages its empty_clip25. And if you bring up console, after you die for instance, it reads "JohnDoe killed empty_clip25". It might be a long shot that, but I hoping someone knows how to fix this and help me out.

name to long and you go to friends list then right click your pic and click change name change it hit enter

you change it from Steam(upper right corner)-settings-friends-change name

What is the max amount letters you can have? I have used empty_clip25 since cs 1.6.

I shorten name as much as I could emptyclip joined server still EMTPY

I got it fixed by logging in under new name and changing it back while I was still in server. Thanks for the replies and good hunting
