Which Is Cooler? Gun Skins or Knife Skins, and Why? Any Gun/Knife Skins in Particular?
I'm really bored and decided to open this thread. This should be a neat discussion.

My opinions:

I, for one, am a huge fan of the Blue Steel and Case Hardened knives. IMO they're the only knives that still look badass when they have StatTrak™ counters (weird little scratches) on them. Knives with paint jobs just look more worn with the scratches, diminishing the overall look. I could also never own a knife that made people keep trying to scam me (but that already almost happened, heh, heh.) However, it doesn't make sense to sink a huge amount of money into a knife you'll only get a couple kills with per match.
Besides, there are some super cool gun skins like Asiimov, Poseidon, etc., etc.
What about you all?

Well, knife skins are there all the time. Weapon skins you have to buy (If you can). In my opinion, I LOVE BOTH!!!! xD I am so :gmod: :A: Y

The coolest thing if you keep top fragging without bothering to be amazed or have any skins besides the default ones.

Knife skins are cool, but imo gun skins all the way. I barely ever have my knife out ingame.
M9 or Gut is my favourite knife
My favourite skin is tiger tooth
I like the vulcans and cyrexes, and asiimov for p90 and awp.
:p

I also like case hardeneds and bluesteels.

What? OP is asking whether you prefer gun skin or knife skin. Hurr durr durr i don't use skins and i'm good at the game, therefore everyone who uses skins is a ♥♥♥.

I prefer gun skins over knife skins anytime.
Why? Having a Knife skin is cool and all but you barely ever have your knife out (except when running to rotate or in knife rounds) while you'll see your gun skins 95% of the time.

Also having a knife seemed to affect my gameplay, since I tend to switch to my knife way too often when I have a skin for it.
personally I'd choose weapon skins over knife skins, since I use the weapons more often... however, I haven't got a knife skin yet, so who knows if my opinion will change once acquired...?

Good for you! I'm glad you expressed your opinion, but I think you may need to find another thread to senselessly brag to. This thread is about SKINS, not WINS.

I've had various knifes, my most expensive one was a Factory New Falchion Knife Fade and I basically got rid of them and bought some games off Steam because they affected my gameplay in a horrible way.

Why is that?

Once you get a knife skin, you will never go back......
But a good skin for the AK or M4 go a long way
Also, gun skins are more customizable with stickers
But if you have a knife skin, you wont have to suffer the fact that someone killed you, took your gun, and is using it against you

Only skins with whom you constantly plays: handgun for T / CT | rifle for T / CT and a knife preferably vanilla bayonet. That makes 5 skins, more you do not need.

I'd actually say it depends on 2 things: what role you prefer and how much money you're willing to put in. I play an AWPer and support rifler. I have an AWP Asiimov, M4 Guardian, AK Jungle Spray, and a couple other misc. gun skins. I have a Butterfly Knife Blue Steel MW. Honestly, for the bad rap butterfly knives get, they look a whole lot more elegant than the M9s and Karambits out there. Plus, they're much cheaper :).

Butterfly gets crap because the design patterns aren't as prominent on them as on other knives.
