As far as I have seen it, it seems that i finally gonna see VAC bans getting removed if everybody is right about them being falsely banned.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kernel_Patch_Protection
Some cheat sites use this to deploy a driver for hiding a cheat
- To install illegal copies of games and software.
- To use cheats from a "ghost" driver, so they are "undetectable".
Both of that reasons are bad.. and i think is a smart move form Valve to target this.
Don't talk smack about pirated software/games :^)
Also, not everyone is a normal PC user, some of us spend a lot of time at our computers and heavily customise them, which is why I feel it would be unfair for VAC to target KPP.
But I'm not entirely sure that this is what has caused the bans.
How about being a developer yourself and not feeling like paying 400€ for driver signing if you want to work on your own driver for whatever purpose..
Also what does kpp have to do with illegal software? or games
that is all
Thing is.. that.. isn't any "good" reasons to disable kernel. Even people with heavily customised computers won't do that.
also see the games i was banned from O.o
