Why do maps in CS have DE_ infront of their names?
Title says it all :P

defuse is the game mode

de_ is for maps with bombs, this is because in ye olde days maps we're labeled like this and not like "dome" or "safehouse". cs_ is for hostages, as_ is for vip etc.

It's not wrong, it's just that these maps feature bombs.
