CS:GO crashes whenever I join competitive or a public casual.
Hi there!
I've recently bought a new laptop and thought I'd take her for a spin playin' CS:GO.

I've been able to play offline with bots with no problem, and I've done all of these things:
  • Set all settings to low
  • Turned Multicore Rendering off.
  • Put Steam, Steam Overlay, and CSGO to high priority through task manager
  • Removed cfg, verified game cache
  • Installed newest nvidia drivers
  • Set date & time to 2010 (desperate attempt)
  • Set all the relevant .exe's to run as administrator.
  • Disabled all power savings, set physx processor to my GTX760M

My problem is that as soon as I join a server, be it competitive, public casual or valves own casuals, the game crashes AS SOON as I can see "CONTINUE" after the map has loaded.

No error message, no logs, no nothing-- just a crash to desktop.
I can play with bots perfectly fine, no crashes happen.

I am running:
Intel i7-4700HQ 2,4Ghz
Nvidia Geforce GTX760M
12GB Ram
1TB HDD with steam, csgo on.
Windows 8.1

What the hell can I do to make the game stop crashing without reason when the map loads?

I resolved my issue by reinstalling steam completely and then reinstalling CS:GO.
