Knife round for start of Competitive match?

I don't see any reason against, as it is random now and this would change that for a bit.

Edit: For those that dont know, winner of knife round would get a chance to pick on which side they want to play first (CT / TT) In case of solo queue, more votes would decide if they don't agree for one side.

Well, thats really dumb (no offense). The start can determine whether you win, lose or tie sometimes, and it's based on aim/how you play. Knifing messes with that, particularly if the defending team puts players all around while the opposing team can just rush one spot.

@Gintsama , Every proffesional match starts with knife round , it is good thing tho , you can CHOSE in what side will you be instead of beeing thrown in any side!

It's unnecessary, potentially long and drawn-out (running away, teammate is boosted to an unreachable location, etc.), and you'll get folks saying that there should be a knife round to determine the sides for the knife round. Plenty of real sports begin with a coin flip...

He said exactly what i meant, I'm sorry i didnt clarified that further for these that don't know. So basically it's a round that gives winning team a chance to pick a side first (CT / TT)

I agree that this might happen, but not like there is no trolls that ruin games even beside of that.. And maybe it can do even better as these would be reported right away..

If you want to look from that point everything can be abused.. With gun you can kill a teammate but they wont remove guns because of that? :)

They might do start with coin flip but in these sports its irrelevant on which side of pitch they will be, but here at some maps it makes really a huge difference.

Nothing, but what stops you from doing it now while pistol round or any other? Whats the pupose of that? If someone wants to act like a douche nothing will prevent him not to do so.. Also there is maybe just a few barely reachable spots on each map where they EVENTUALLY can boost with 3+ players but it would take a lot of time and they would be killed by then probably.

How about - everyone that stays in spawn for an elongated period of time is slaughtered by an unknown force, and the routes taken to the main bloodshed is dictated by said unknown force that slaughters anyone who offends said route.

However.. Everything is better than it is now...all random.. At some CT sided maps such as nuke/train and sometimes inferno it can define a whole route of match where one side slaughters another and there is usually no coming back. (talking about non-team-non-queued matches)
