Keep your crosshait at head level, I've seen too many no as that aim at the legs and end up dying

Flicking, quick scoping and dragging are important aspects of AWPing, master those before picking one up, otherwise, you're a $4750 decoy.

Reset sprays after 10 bullets or go for 4 round sprays

Be sure to adjust aim according to the maps height differences, be sure not to aim too high/low

You want help yes? I cannot help you personaly, but go to the steam workshop-maps and look for aiming maps. I use a map called training aim csgo2. This map allows you to set a custom crosshair, choose any weapon in the game, and shoot customizable targets that can be as big as the board or smaller than a players head.

My advice is to watch Pro Matches (google search NiP Fnatic CS:GO).

These players have proven time and again that THEIR methods are better than MILLIONS of other players.

Simply copy where they position themselves, where they throw their grenades, and how they use the economy. Don't focus too much on the spectacle or the shoutcasters that commentate the game (altough you can learn A LOT this way too) try to focus on what you visually SEE the best players in the world do in order to win against oncoming challengers year after year.

Or just add me and we can hang out.

Perhaps whatever game you've been playing within those 2 weeks has gotten you use to a different sensitivity? I prefer to have a high sensitivity while playing most games, but CSGO I use a medium-low sensitivity making it somewhat difficult to come back to CSGO after long breaks.

This is well known to be one of the best aim warmup maps. Thousands of players play this map for a few minutes before entering competitive matches, I've even seen pros use it. If I'm just playing for fun, I'll get about 200-300 kills with the AK and I'm good for the day. If I'm playing more serious to rank up, I do about 100-300 kills altogether with AK,M4,USP, and glock every 2-3 competitive games.

You might not realize, but in most competitive games, you're just stareing at open space. For a few seconds you're shooting at someone. After a few games players lose their rhythm with the guns they like. That's when you stop, and go into an aim map you like, practice for a few minutes, and go back and play some more.

Don't just queue for 5+ games straight. Nobody can keep up a carrying performance without warming up every few games.

- lowly DMG.

Serious point here: DON'T AWP.

Okay, now that the harsh ♥♥♥♥ is out of the way, you need to learn what's useful. IN every game, an AK / M4 is far, far more useful to a team - an awp is not really so much (THOUGH, there is no doubting it HAS use).

It's important you're good with these. Once you are, sure you try AWPing, but this game isn't about who can AWP best, it's about how to be a good team-player - and that mean's dropping your AWP to someone who can AWP better than you, and letting them give you an AK / M4.

Yet ... back in silver, I was one stubborn piece of ♥♥♥♥. After (no joke) 300 hours of total practise and a couple of breaks in between, my team promoted me to main AWPer, where their main priority is to give me an AWP - I'm proud.

Problem was though, I still sucked with the AK :rfacepalm: Fast-forward to now, and I have improved, but I'm lagging behind the rest of the group on tight games where we can't always get AWPs for me.

So, how did I do it? Well, I think it was REMOVING ALL EGO. I cannot stress that enough. In DM and aim maps, don't go for teh ZOMG DAT FLUCKSHIT kennyS here I ♥♥♥! No: go slow, and make EVERY-SHOT-COUNT. And you keep doing this until going slow becomes a pain, and you *just* want to do it faster, and it happens. It must feel natural! That's muscle memory.

To develop muscle memory, get a good FPS mouse, REMOVE ALL (for the love of God!!!) MOUSE ACCELERATION and set your mouse to raw input ON. Set any sensitivity that you like (lower is better here, though!) and whatever settings etc

AND ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ STICK WITH IT

COME RAIN OR SUNSHINE

HELL OR HIGH TIDE

you sir will stick to it!!!

Can vouch for this!

Learning the samething each day is also helpful.

Every day, I do 5 minutes of Spray control practise - it isn't quite muscle memory yet, so it's important I do learn it, at least until I do fully learn it.

FYI, I'm MG2

No matter what size your mouspad is, you should do a perfect 360 degree rotation of view by dragging your mouse from one edge of the middle of your mousepad to the other on it's X axis.

In this way your mousepad's size is directly related to your field of vision. You never have to lift your mouse and you make use of every centimeter of mousepad available.

Mo0on (Banned) Aug 16, 2015 @ 4:16pm
A full flick of your mousepad should be 180 degrees not 360, that sensitivity is way too high. Unless you're a godly wrist player with a tiny mousepad, and have godly sprays, that's not going to work for many players.

Most people under LE have trouble aiming and following heads. Higher sensitivity will make that incredibly difficult. Double so for a GN.

With your mouse at the center of your mousepad, moving it entirely to one side, should move your screen 90 degrees. Doing a full swipe, one side of your mousepad fully to the other, 180 degrees.

And EVERYONE should customizes there sensitivity even further than what I described above for the best control they can get.

Basically in competitive, if an enemy ends up behind you, and shoots at you first. Even with that high sensitivity, and you flick the 360 degrees. Good chance you're still dead. Except when you're facing players its still incredibly hard to track them because of such a high sensitivity.

This is why many players play on a lower sensitivity. So they can aim at whoever is in front of them easier.
