Weird black screen with ATI / AMD
So here is the deal since I have looked it everywhere and haven't find solution. I have updated my ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 1gb driver to 15.7v everything worked fine before but with bad performance. Now after update evrything work better I mean the videos , games etc. But not CS and not even Hearthstone. I had 120 smooth fps on CS before and now when I start it everything work but game has black screen. I can hear music I can hear buttons I have console out (knowing that I move cursor and I see cursors change) but it works when I put my switchable graphics on power saving mode where it uses only intel card but my main graphics card is on ATI and I am sure of it becose all other games works fine. I have tried everything with config , launch options clean install / uninstall on driver and game. All drivers are up to date even the audio.

PC Spec's :

Windows 7 sp 1
64-bit
i3 CPU M 370 @ 2.4 GHz
grahpic's card : ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 1gb
NET Framework 4.5.2
directx 11
ram 4gb (usable 3,8gb)

I have the exact same problem, and also the exact same specs as yours. Do we have the exact same HP Pavilion dv6-3160sp computer? :P
Try adding -novid to your launch settings. Go to library>csgo>properties>local files>launch settings

I don't think that is related, but I will try it. I am right now going to reinstall those drivers to try and fix that issue (yes, I rolled back to play :P), I'll let you know if I fix it somehow.

play at your native res as that would most likely be it or try verfying the files

OK! I uninstalled drivers again but this time I installed the older versions and it worked I dont know whats the point of the updates if they make things worse ?

Its a resolution issue, try launching with -windowed in start setting to see if it works.

At least it narrows down your problem, i had similar a while back and even windows wouldn't see the correct monitory resolutions unless i restarted.
