Is It too much to ask of such a huge game developer that they install Competative servers in WA, its hardly competative when everyone else has a 15-40 ping on the eastern states and WA has a 90-120 ping,

i Know some people in WA will say, "well mine is like 50 LOL, get better internet" But the Internet in WA is like 1990's some suburbs have much faster options then others

To put the Distance gap in prospective of WA-Sydney.
Perth - Syndey 3298KM
Perth - Jacarta (indonesia) 3008KM we would have a faster Ping connecting to indonesia then our own country

im not saying Install them today im just syaing there is easily enough people that Play CS:GO in WA to support WA servers, even allow sydney to connect to WA and see how they enojoy the extra 0.5-1second delay we have to contend with.

to stand a chance of being a very good player in comp our reaction time has to be faster then every other person we play agasint

tried it lowered it to 50 and it cant find games

60-70 still gives me games with 100+ ping

Then unfortunately, it is just your internet. I am sorry you have less than average internet but it is something you need to live with. Either change provider, move area or live with it. Simple.

OR valve could look into the request of the 200,000+ WA players and have servers installed closer.

i have the fastest possible internet for my area.
im not going to move my family so i can get a ping that will still be worse the the other states
and we shouldnt have to live with it

Man, people like ankarin are so ignorant. If you can't contribute to the subject constructively, don't contribute.
Setting lower ping on the game settings has 0 effect for Western Australian players as the closet server is in Sydney/Jakarta. There is no West Aus servers and for people like me that play at 115 ping, all we're asking for is a few servers in either Perth/Adelaide for a more competitive experience. Seeing people with 5 ping telling us to "get better internet you poor ♥♥♥♥♥♥" are those who live in sydney/brisbane/melbourne with fiber/cable internet. Until those services arrive, which is taking much longer than originally stated, we have no choice but to deal with a near unplayable level of distance lag, regardless of our ISP. What WA players are asking for is very reasonable as places with lower player density have their own servers.

I believe over the course of the next 5 or so years NBN will be widespread across Australia, then you can play at 5 ping or something idk

had a full que of wa blokes and we was all bouncing from 80 -250 the most stable guy was with telstra sitting at 75-80 ping lmao we all have nbn
