Play better when drunk?
I have no idea why or how, but I am always playing better when slightly tipsy. A beer or two before I start MM is my warm up to a topfrag, beautiful teamwork and a victory. Headshot servers dry I usually have a 1 K/D ratio on average, after a beer or two, or a good drink it will be 2-3. No rage, no hate, noobs or pros on either teams it all doesn't matter, game becomes so much more fun and hence I play so much better! When I play without a beer I usually end up try harding, getting annoyed at everyone including myself and just hating the game and the world in general... as you can expect this leads to me playing like a salty silver. Anyone else feels this way? xD

(Before the hate comes, I am not a super high rank, neither do I think I am a pro, hardly in fact. I am DMG and play just for fun, which proves to be much easier with a bit of booze :D)

The reason is probably that when you feel tipsy, you worry less about the game. Less panic = Better performance.
It could also do with steadying movements, if you feel like your aim is more on point.

Alcohol is banned in most shooting competitions due to its performance enhancing ability to steady tremors and other jitters.

i play better after a few drinks because i play more on reaction instead of overthinking situations.

I personally take a hit of meth before my MM sessions. I do get surprised a little easier but it rarely comes off in the form of panic. My alertness and reflexes become spot on.

Really?! I had no idea! Yeah, that certainly feels like it! I also usually get very annoyed with people if they make any little mistake, including myself, and the booze seems to soothe that ^^

wait .. so if a pro player in the major league was found to be under the influence of alcohol would that player be banned from the mlg team and comp?

Yes. Pretty sure that alcohol consumption is not allowed in major tournaments. In small doses it may reduce small treamours giving and unfair advantage. In large doses it'll make the 'pro' a bad sports for the major, so to avoid the embarassment, I imagine the organisers have measures against that as a precaution.

tbh amphs make me more relaxed than booze, although i deny the possibility of having ADHD, in the end tipsy makes me aim better, drunk makes me aim worse but more unpredictable strats, wasted makes me just a morale boost because of how i start playing for my dead teammates' entertainment and making others have a laugh out of how wasted i am (rn on 1l of vodka, tolerance is a ♥♥♥♥♥)

There was a time where Snooker and Darts players used alcohol for similar reasons.

In the modern context, using alcohol as a coping strategy is considered a psychological problem and a precursor to alcoholism.

The healthy approach is to work on addressing the underlying causes and to train healthier coping mechanisms which you can apply to csgo and more generalised stressful situations.
